It even says in it that people who read something about yawning might actually yawn. Does anyone else think this unfair? I caught myself yawning twice while reading it (well, i guess it was boring too haha) Yawning could be a distraction in my opinion =P Post edited by tb0mb93 on March 2012 Like Helpful Replies to: SAT Reading passage unfair? crouch88 crouch88 Posts: 348 . Member April 2010 lol i know how that feels. when I read boring passages my eyes lose focus while my mind wanders off and i forget about the extract for like 5-10 seconds. The point isn't that the text is boring, it's that thinking about yawning makes people yawn. Like Helpful crouch88 crouch88 Posts: 348 . Member April 2010 Oops I saw "yawning" and automatically assumed it was because the passage bored him Like Helpful neekzg neekzg Posts: 1,002 Registered User Member April 2010 I read that passage just yesterday! I actually found it to be interesting (well, compared to many other CR passages...) so I thought it compensated for any yawning it might've subliminally induced. I thought I would feel compelled to yawn but surprisingly, I didn't. Like Helpful johnnyzxz johnnyzxz Posts: 494 Registered User Member March 2012 YAWN YAWN YAWN I'm starting to think that really was a bad passage. I mean, it literally said "Sometimes people yawn just from reading about it." That's just straight up asking for trouble. It's straight up distracting. But I liked this passage. I got 24/24 that section :D Like Helpful Sign In or Register to comment.
